The Dyslexia Project of Jackson Hole expands access to intensive, evidence-based reading and spelling intervention for students in our community who may not otherwise be able to afford this support. Our services are designed to supplement school-based instruction.

Dondi Tondro-smith M.A., CMHC

Dondi Tondro-smith M.A., CMHC

 Kristin Vito holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Vanderbilt University and a Master’s degree in Education from Regis University, with a concentration in the Science of Reading. She is a Wyoming-certified teacher with a reading endorsement from the Professional Teaching Standards Board and a certified Structured Literacy/Dyslexia Specialist through the International Dyslexia Association.


Kristin has worked as an Educational Therapist and an elementary teacher, and is currently affiliated with The Mental Wellness Collaborative. She brings advanced training in dyslexia identification and structured literacy instruction and is deeply committed to expanding equitable access to effective, evidence-based literacy support for youth in her community. Proud to have called Jackson, Wyoming, home for the past 30 years, Kristin is passionate about serving local families and strengthening educational opportunities throughout the valley.

Dondi Tondro-smith M.A., CMHC

Dondi Tondro-Smith received a B.A. from Long Island University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University. She is an editor of several books by dyslexic authors, including Undiagnosed: The Ugly Side of Dyslexia by Ameer Baraka, which highlights the far-reaching costs of reading failure and the transformative impact of effective intervention.

Dondi has collaborated with McCorall Publishing and SuperDville, and has specialized her clinical focus and training in providing neurodiversity-affirming care.


As both a parent of a child with dyslexia and an advocate for educational equity, Dondi brings a holistic, trauma-informed perspective to literacy and learning differences. Her work emphasizes the emotional well-being of individuals and families navigating educational, developmental, and systemic challenges, with a focus on empowerment, resilience, and inclusive support.
